Sunflowers Room, for 3 - 5 year-olds

When staff think children are ready, they will transition into the preschool room – this can be between 3 to 3.5 years as we take into consideration our School Readiness programme, friendships and their last stage at Bee's Knees!
This room is a foundation for a Reception class as this follows our bespoke curriculum which is based on our teacher knowledge of early School life. We want children to develop their thinking, leadership and listening skills so we follow a structured timetable which offers adult and child led learning.
The focused areas offer chances in greater depth for creating, writing, maths, role play, loose part play and fine motor skills. Deepening and strengthening communication and language is absolutely essential in this room and this is furthered by our teaching of German - evidence shows leaning a second language can only improve a mother tongue.
The preschool room is designed to get your children 'school ready' with play at the heart of learning. School readiness means so much more than academics - we want our children to be leaders of their own learning and be confident in their choices and thinking.
